On Thursday, the Classics department took a selection of GCSE Greek and Latin and A level Classical Civilisation pupils on a trip to the Bloomsbury Theatre to see UCL’s English language adaptation of Euripides’ Electra.

Far from a tragic affair, the group had the opportunity to experience Greek drama first hand and consider what the ancient Greeks thought about justice,  family relationships and the laws of the gods. While we naturally do not recommend that our pupils follow Electra’s example at home, it was lovely to set foot in the theatre again after the last couple of years.
