Last half term one of our parents, Daisy Zhao, kindly came in to wish everyone Happy Chinese New Year! She gifted the girls a beautiful hand-drawn dragon gift bag with a dragon Lego set inside. This was very fitting as 2024 is the year of the dragon! Mrs Zhao returned to our classroom this week to teach us about the significance and history behind Chinese New Year. We finished the workshop by creating a fantastic art piece of a dragon using a variety of craft supplies. The celebrations continued in today’s assembly, with Loulou from Year 1, Amy, Annabel, Charlotte M and Matilda from Year 2, and Elizabeth and Victoria from Year 4, delighting us with their Chinese New Year dancing. This captured the attention of all the girls with the beauty and harmony of the dance.
