For the second year running, Year 9 girls at FHS Sloane Square participated in the BBC’s School Report project as part of a joint initiative between the English and Computing Departments.
For the last fortnight, the girls have been busy researching, planning, writing, filming and editing reports in their English and ICT lessons on a vast range of topics. These ranged from news taking place in school – notably including our Head Girl elections – to that taking place on a national and international scale, such as Britain’s place in the EU and the US Presidential Primaries. The girls’ work culminated on Thursday 10th March – the BBC School Report “News Day”, when Francis Holland joined hundreds of schools nationwide in creating the news.
