On Monday 12 March, accomplished and well-known author Abi Elphinstone came to Francis Holland to talk to Year 3 6 about her new book Sky Song.
Abi told the Junior School about her travels to the Arctic and Mongolia, explaining how these adventures lead to the great ideas in her books. The girls favourite story was about Angela The Cat Wrestler who features in the Sky Song book.
Later that morning Y5 and 6 took part in a workshop where they plotted a story and drew a map of their imaginary words. It was a fantastic morning of creativity!
