The Vienna trip was one of the highlights of my academic year, we had such a lovely group students and teachers and we had such fun. We did well to visit so many of Vienna’s attractions; the bustling Naschmarkt, where we sampled traditional local cuisine, as well as exploring the beautiful Belvedere palace, where we delighted at it’s magnificent marble ballroom and Gustav’s Klimt’s masterpieces, including his most famous painting ‘Der Kuss’. We were blown away by a performance at the Spanish Riding School, where we watched the snow white Lipizzaner horses prance around the arena. We explored the Kaiser apartments, at the Sissi Museum in the famous Hoffburg Palace, as well as strolling around the beautiful gardens of Schloss Schönbrunn. On the final evening we even hiked up to one of the hillside Heurigen and admired the magnificent views of Vienna, whilst enjoying more delicious traditional Austrian cuisine. The trip was a huge success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it!
