This week, girls in Year 8 took part in an Amazon boot camp. All Year 8 students have developed an app idea which should benefit the local community. Three groups were chosen to attend the bootcamp with Amazon ambassadors Ana and Zahid. The ideas put forward were:
- CIMPACT, an app to track your carbon footprint
- Pink people, a period app with lots of useful features for those who have recently started this journey
- Supper club, an app to help people learn to cook and develop their culinary skills, Facebook for food!
One of these three brilliant ideas will be put forward to represent the school in the Amazon national app design competition later this year.
