‘Does time have a beginning?’

That was the first question of the afternoon, a taster of what was to come. We were split up into our teaching sets and were given a bunch of fascinating philosophical questions. Our favourite question personally was the conundrum: ‘are you free if you are locked in a room, but don’t want to leave?’. These questions got us to engage our brains and involve ourselves in discussion and debate. The speakers who came in were very educated in Theology and Philosophy and really challenged us, forcing us to stretch our minds. We really enjoyed our afternoon and would highly recommend it for other year groups!
