On Friday 20th March, a group of Year 7 girls went to Francis Holland Regent’s Park to compete in the Year 7 Maths Varsity Competition. While we were there, we took part in various challenging maths problems such as tangrams, which are puzzles where you cut out shapes and rearrange them to form a picture, and building with blocks to make a shape shown on a piece of paper. The most challenging tasks, we thought, were the Sudoku and the problem‑solving paper. But overall, we had a lot of fun and ended up winning!
