On Friday morning six Year 7 girls visited the Katherine Low Settlement to deliver almost 100 Christmas presents kindly provided and wrapped by the SSPA for young (and old) members of the community.
While there, they got to meet Mr Aaron Barbour, who runs KLS and gave them a brief history of the settlement and answered their questions. The girls also (with some parental help) managed to decorate the entire settlement with lights, tinsel, and even some Christmas Geese (who knew?).
Girls were so amazed to find out about the special relationship that FHS has with KLS and are looking forward to developing it further in the years to come.
We are hugely grateful that the SSPA and Year 7 parents so kindly donated their time and money to this initiative, particularly to Mrs Jo Hamlyn who masterminded the event this year.Â
