Over half the year group took the opportunity on Wednesday to channel their entrepreneurial spirit and joined the Young Enterprise £10 Challenge which we’re running in school for the next four weeks. This week, the girls researched potential products and designed their logos – the best five will be entered into a national competition. The girls all had to sign an IOU pledge to return the £10 the school has lent them, (with an extra donation for charity), once the challenge is over. Over the next three weeks, they’ll have to make a budget, work out how to market their products and eventually sell them during TIPS week in a marketplace. Who knows, perhaps the next Oprah Winfrey or Deborah Meaden is among their number! Tens of thousands of children are taking part in this challenge all over the world – it’s exciting to be part of this venture.
