On Thursday morning, Year 6 delivered their class assembly to parents in the Junior Hall.
During the assembly they showcased a selection of work from their most recent unit of learning ‘The Art of Oratory’. Having been split into four groups, the girls delivered powerful speeches, inspired by an array of powerful orators. They chose messages which were close to their hearts: the effects of climate change; female empowerment; the dangers of social media; unity and justice and finally, the power of making one’s bed! The assembly finished with a rendition of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’. Much to the delight of parents, Mrs Dixon encouraged them to join in on the lyrics! A thoroughly impressive class assembly.
