On Monday 28th November, our class went to Sky Studios. It was so much fun! First, we arrived and got to watch Shrek. After that, Mrs Amin told us our groups that we were going to work in. We got a quick tour of the Studios and building, but then it was time to go and work on our Sky TV news story.

There were four studios. We were split into four groups of six to create a news report about a proposal from the government to build a new wind farm. Each group had a different purpose: the first had to introduce the story; the second shared facts about wind turbines on location in Scotland; the third included two eyewitnesses who had differing opinions in Texas; and the fourth group had interviews from experts to conclude the report.

We had a timer, which we had to keep an eye on, so our report was delivered by the deadline. After everyone had finished their reports, we went to see where the real news was filmed. We had to be really quiet because there was actual filming going on! Meanwhile, the Sky helpers put together our final report. After we had watched it, we all laughed and complimented each other for doing such a great job.
