Recently we welcomed a team from The Globe theatre who visited Years 5 and 6 to run a workshop on Macbeth.
The girls took part in interactive exercises including blocking, and acting out freeze frames of memorable scenes from the play. The girls also sounded out the rhythms in the language, helping them to better understand the way Shakespeare uses it to create tension, mood and atmosphere.
The girls thoroughly enjoyed taking a fresh look at Shakespeare.
