Year 2 girls enjoyed channelling their creativity on their trip to The Design Museum where they took part in a workshop called ‘Stranger by Design’.
The girls were immersed in a world of unconventional objects that are designed in a way that often hides the true meaning of their function. They had lots of fun guessing the purpose of these quirky designs – from wellington boots made from recycled chewing gum to a duck shaped soap dispenser. The girls then had a go at creating their own unusual designs by sketching their ideas and labelling the different materials.
They were the youngest year group to have ever attended the session and the workshop leader was in awe of their innovative and imaginative designs!
