As part of our Lower Sixth Psychology students’ study of Attachment Theory, the girls have just embarked upon a very exciting eggs-periment…

As part of the activity, students are caring for a fragile object (an egg) as if it were a dependent infant, allowing them to explore key concepts such as secure attachment, caregiving behaviours and emotional investment. In line with Bowlby’s theory, the emphasis is on keeping the “baby” close in order to promote survival.

The project will run for two weeks, during which the girls will need to keep their Egg Baby with them throughout the school day in protective containers.

Good luck to all our participants and thank you in advance to our Francis Holland community for helping ensure our Egg Babies remain safe, secure and uncracked!
