Year 11 Classical Civilisation students visited the British Museum this week as part of their Myth and Religion course. Several prescribed sources are housed in the museum and so we were able to appreciate up close the level of detail on the Parthenon’s metopes and the iconography of the gods and heroes on ancient vases. Year 11 finished their outing with an equally thorough exploration of the gift shop and excellent bookstore. What a lovely way to ease back into school life after mocks!
