On our recent Year 11 GCSE Art Trip, we visited Tate Britain where we explored the vast majority of featured exhibitions including the renowned Turner Prize Exhibition. The Turner Prize Exhibition is an annual showcase of contemporary art, featuring the four artists shortlisted for the prestigious Turner Prize award. The exhibition consisted of paintings, sculptures, photography, performances, and large-scale installations, all of which were unique and extremely inspiring. The trip provided a unique opportunity for both classes to see a multitude of artistic styles which we could in-turn  use to aid us as we refined our new unit 2 ideas. Seeing the Turner prize exhibition was definitely a highlight for me and my class as the variety of thought provoking art stood out and inspired us all!

However, the main permanent galleries were just as amazing! The wide range of pieces showcased helped expose us to a significant range of styles and techniques which I and many will definitely be implementing into our own art studies. Overall the trip left me with a  fresh outlook on our new project and truly motivated us all.
