On Thursday girls in Year 10 had the opportunity to learn about medical careers through a stimulating hands-on workshop ‘Medical Mavericks’ which focused on data collection, analysis, and diagnosis.

The girls had the opportunity to record and print an ECG, use an ultrasound machine, find out if they were still growing, try their hands at keyhole surgery and many more varied activities! The workshop aimed to highlight the wide variety of medical careers that are available, helping to inspire this next generation of scientists to stay motivated in the classroom.
