On Saturday 5th February, 62 Year 10 and Year 11 pupils attended their Silver Duke of Edinburgh Training Day at School.

The girls enthusiastically leapt to the task of figuring out how to set up their tents as well as how to put together and light a trangia stove. This was particularly important as this is how they will be cooking their dinner on expedition! They also spent time developing their map reading skills and route planning ready to navigate the South Downs next month. With a top up of their First Aid knowledge and some excellent advice from our experienced trip leaders, they are all ready to accomplish the two day 25km route that lies ahead of them.
