We were delighted to welcome Melanie Moorhouse from The University Guys and Maria Blesie from UES Education to school on Wednesday evening for an extremely comprehensive introduction to the complexities of applying to university in the USA. Melanie and Maria spoke so knowledgeably to a packed house about the importance of finding the right ‘fit’, doing your research, and how and when standardised testing comes into play.

Last summer, FHS students left us for institutions including Columbia, UCLA, Tulane, Davidson, UChicago and Johns Hopkins. This year, some of our Upper Sixth students have already secured early offers from Georgetown, Emerson, and the University of Santa Clara. We have strong relationships with American universities and this year have hosted visits from admissions directors from Georgetown, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, Tufts, Babson and Boston College, among others.
