On Wednesday, the Francis Holland Sixth Form had the privilege of hosting distinguished representatives from several prominent US universities: Tufts, Babson, Boston College, and Washington University. The event was not only informative but also incredibly enriching, offering us a unique glimpse into the educational opportunities the institutions provide.

The session commenced with each university presenting itself, sharing essential insights into their respective ethos and the diverse range of programs they offer. It was fascinating to see how each college had its distinct character and strengths, which allowed us to envision the kind of academic and extracurricular experiences we could potentially pursue.

What stood out for me personally was the genuine enthusiasm and expertise of the university representatives. Their willingness to answer our questions with honesty and depth made the session incredibly valuable. As well as this, our extensive Q&A session after was very engaging. We had the opportunity to delve deeper into various aspects of university life, from academic rigor to campus culture, extracurricular opportunities, and support systems in place for international students.

The visit from these US university representatives was an enlightening experience and has undoubtedly left a lasting impression with the FHS students and has motivated many of us to explore the exciting opportunities that lie ahead in our educational pursuits.

A great thank you to Mrs Wilkes for organising the event as well as each representative for coming along.
