The culmination of some incredible hard work from students across our Senior School, we were delighted to host our annual FHS Spring Concert at Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Street.

A choir of 150 students from Lower School Choir and Senior Choir were joined by Parents and Staff who sang with utter commitment and joy in these brilliant and exciting performances. We had a wide range of solo performances, Talitha in Year 11 singing Adele’s Easy on Me with such skill and confidence and Helena in Year 8 showcasing such virtuosity and musicality with some fiery Chopin, alongside a brilliant Year 11 trio of Bea, Cordelia and Mika, singing a new take on Fleetwood Mac. Our most senior musicians, our Upper Sixth leavers, were on full showcase with a world premiere of an arrangement of ‘The Parting Glass’ as well as having taking up solos in the major works. Incredible musicianship was heard around the church with Vicky soaring with Massanet, Angelina delivering a brilliant Shostakovich concerto and Sofia leading Mozart. All were fantastic and it was a wonderful send off and thank you for these students, of whom it was their last concert at FHS. The huge massed choir of over 200 paired excellently with the over 50 piece symphony orchestra for an evening of Vaughan Williams, Monteverdi and Mozart – one which lifted everyone’s spirits and hearts with glorious music.

Thank you to all performers and audience, especially to the UVI leavers to whom we are indebted to in the Music Department: Sofia G, Sparkle S, Paloma F, Anna C, Millie H, Christina B-T, Ruqayyah N.
