The Sixth Form were pleased to invite Justine Waddell to FHS this week as part of the Speaker Programme.

After studying Political Science at Cambridge University, Justine worked as an actor, starring in films such as Alexander Zeldovich’s Target (where she learned the Russian language), as well as period dramas like Tess of the D’Urbervilles and Great Expectations.

Justine went on to found Asterisk Films, the production company responsible for the award-winning Force of Nature Natalia, a documentary about prima ballerina, Natalia Osipova. Justine has just written her debut screenplay for Virginia Woolf’s Night and Day. In 2021, Justine founded Klassiki, the world’s first streaming platform to deliver film content from Russia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.

Thank you to Justine for her inspiring talk.
