A group of literature-loving sixth formers meet every Thursday in the beautiful and atmospheric theological library at St Mary’s.
Lit Seminar is a place to get excited about all things literary outside the confines of the syllabus. In recent weeks we have encountered the powerful rhythms of 1930s poetry by W.H. Auden, hilarious satirical verse by Jonathan Swift and powerful polemical work by Kae Tempest, a renowned performance poet. Black History Month turned our attention to the extraordinary force that is W.E.B. Du Bois. Girls are invited to lead if they so wish and we look forward to a smorgasbord of literary delights over the coming weeks!
