With its army of parent helpers, the Reception and KS1 Christmas tea party was certain to be a huge success as the girls entered a festive Christmas Candy Land! The decorations, organised by the hugely talented Grace Sternheimer, were so impressive. Festive music was played and the excitement in the room was palpable! After indulging in yummy sandwiches, Christmas jellies and fruit kebabs, the girls were keen to get up on the dance floor and join in with the party games organised by the teachers. We even saw the return of the much-loved dance competition and the ‘over and under’ balloon competition! After the games, it was on to gingerbread decorating – there was coloured icing – and lots of it – much to the girls’ delight!

After all this excitement and joy, you would not have thought it could get any better … but it did. From the distance the girls heard the sound of bells, and who should appear from around the corner but Father Christmas himself! And luckily for the girls, he had a big sack filled with the most special Christmas spinning tops for everyone.

This event would not be possible without the many parent volunteers who came to help. We are so thankful to you all.
