On Tuesday 22nd June, FHS enjoyed the highly-anticipated Pop and Jazz Concert.

Despite not having parents and families in attendance (they were all cheering on at home via the Zoom livestream), the evening was unforgettable with a range of group and solo performances. Compères, Eloise and India, expertly introduced each act before India performed Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder with her Electric Guitar and Eloise conducted the Orchestra performing Live and Let Die.

From Year 7 Drumming to Ukulele Club to Senior Strings, the concert was full of standout performances. Kitty H in Year 7 composed and performed her own song and we were treated to not one, but two Amy Winehouse solo performances. We won’t be forgetting the Staff Choir in a hurry with their iconic rendition of You Can’t Stop the Beat, complete with amazing dance moves and hilarious wigs.

After over a year without a live performance of any kind, it was incredible to be able to put on a concert once again and we hope to be able to invite parents and families back in to the Senior Hall for the next one!
