As we approach the end of the 2022-2023 academic year, the FHS playground was opened up once more to over 250 parents for our 2023 Parent Drinks reception. Families from both the Junior and Senior School joined FHS staff in a celebration of the end of another busy year but with particular poignancy as we gathered together to say goodbye to Mrs Elphinstone after 11 years as Headmistress.

Mr David Cadwallader, Head of the Junior School Parents’ Association, and Mr David Sweeney, Head of the Senior School Parents’ Association, addressed the FHS community in the playground to pay tribute to Mrs Elphinstone and present her with gifts on behalf of the FHS parent body. Mrs Elphinstone was presented with her very own Fearless Girl, a commissioned replica of the bronze statue that stands in the School and represents the ethos of Francis Holland.

The evening was a wonderful celebration of the School reaching the end of another year, and thank you to all families who joined us to celebrate.
