The Sixth Form and Futures team were delighted to welcome all of the Upper Sixth and their parents to our Off to University Breakfast this week. The students heard from Ms Stansfield and Mrs Wilkes about the importance of planning ahead and the intricacies of Results Day and then from Allison Havey of The Rap Project, who spoke to the students about looking after themselves and the pitfalls and pressures of Freshers Week, alcohol, drugs and being an active bystander. The talk is hard to hear in places but so important for students to be prepared for their first months away from home. We will say goodbye to our Upper Sixth next week as they go on study leave to prepare for their A Level examinations but look forward to the celebrations of Results Day in August.
