As part of their A Level preparation, Year 12 Spanish students played an escape room about the film they have been analysing and writing essays on: El Laberinto del Fauno by Guillermo del Toro. They are already experts in this film and are able to analyse (in Spanish), the different characters, the symbolism or even the cinematographic techniques through their outstanding academical essays.

The main aim of the escape room was to be able to crack the secret five number code to be able to ‘escape’ the Pan’s labyrinth. There were five challenges to solve and every time they solved a challenge they got a number as a result. The challenges are colour-coded and each colour represents one of the numbers of the secret code. To get the secret code, they organised the numbers in the correct order considering the colour sequence in the ‘El código secreto’ grid.
