What a fantastic morning of swimming! The entirety of Years 7, 8 and 9 put their best arm forward in our annual Senior Swimming Gala today. Year 9 donned their best pyjamas to hone their personal survival swimming skills, working together as a team to rescue their casualty back to safety!
Years 7 and 8 performed the traditional races of a gala in breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and front crawl. We saw some brilliant performances within a superbly loud, cheering atmosphere, and had several nail bitingly close finishes, some even came close to breaking a school record… there’s always next year!
We also celebrated those who showed true FHS sprit in their attitude, determination and resilience; congratulations to Bethany Wynter, Emily Levison Hawes and Allegra Clement-Davies for demonstrating the values of a Francis Holland pupil.
Well done to all who took part and congratulations to Franklin who were crowned overall winner of the event!
