This week, a team of PhD students from Richer Education ran a series of workshops in the Junior School, focusing on Science and Technology. The girls took part in activities such as robotics and mechatronics workshops, and were set practical tasks in their classrooms.

The girls also undertook some engineering challenges; they were tasked with building bridges and towers out of spaghetti and marshmallows, and aeroplanes out of paper and coins. This week has been an exciting way to open the girls’ minds to the STEM opportunities that are out there for them as they progress through their education.
