Thursday morning saw a superb display of swimming talent, sportsmanship and new school records at the annual Years 7 – 10 Inter-House Swimming Gala. It was an amazing atmosphere, with pupils and parents cheering on their houses. Thank you to the parents who came to support today, we heard you!

An incredible six school records fell today: Natalie (Year 7) claiming two, the 100m Individual Medley and the 25m Breaststroke;  Maya (Year 9) taking the 25m Butterfly, Zoe (Year 10) piped the 25m Backstroke and Eva (Year 10) doubling up with both the 25m Breaststroke and the 25m Butterfly. A huge congratulations to each of these pupils for this achievement.

Also celebrated where those pupils who we found truly embraced the FHS sprit, Eliza (Year 7), Matilda (Year 8) and Anastasia (Year 9) were awarded the FHS Values medal for their commitment to the day, their encouragement of their peers and overall excellent approach to the Gala. Well done and thank you.

Across Years 7 – Years 10 we gave out 294 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed ribbons today, it was a joy to return to school and see girls delightedly wearing these on their uniform, proud of what they had achieved. Well done to everyone who took part, the winning house was Fonteyn for the second year running and we look forward to next year already!
