As the year draws to a close, Wednesday saw the end our theatrical calendar too with the annual House Drama competition. All girls in Years 7-9 have spent the last term busily rehearsing scenes from The Lion the Witch and Wardrobe (year 7), Oliver Twist (Year 8) and Noughts and Crosses (Year 9). As ever, the girls wowed us with the nuanced, bold and creative performances. There was so much talent on display, and the external judge was truly impressed with the immensely high standard of our FHS girls. A huge congratulations to all the finalists. The winning house from each year was:

Year 7 – Woolf – 7Z- Nell D, Frederika G, Gabrielle H, Ella M

Year 8 Fonteyn – 8Y- Lavinia R, Maya A F, Rosalie H

Year 9 – Ashcroft– 9Y- Ava B, Alice C, Martina D C, Avaline G, Violetta M U, Evelyn S

There were also individual ‘Oscars’ given to the best performer in each year group:

Year 7 – Ellie L

Year 8 – Serene K

Year 9 – Elizabeth P

Well done to all the winners!

Mrs Elphinstone also received an Oscar for being the most wonderful support of the Drama Department (as well as a surprise rendition of ‘History’ by One Direction!)
