On Wednesday 8th June, we held our Horti-Couture Fashion Show.

It was a perfect example of the creativity and enterprise we seek to develop in the girls. Inspired by the Chelsea Flower Show, the girls created designs on a floral theme and you can see the wonderful results in the photos above.

We were honoured to have the renowned designer LK Bennett and Mrs Elizabeth Banks, the first female President of the Royal Horticultural Society, as our judges, and they were amazed by the ingenuity, imagination and skill of the young designers. Congratulations to Marina whose avant-garde menÂ’s jacket, inspired by Alexander McQueenÂ’s Savage Beauty exhibition at the V&A Museum, won first prize.

Undoubtedly, some of our girls have exciting futures ahead in the design world, and their enthusiasm confirms our wish to create more opportunities for developing design skills and teaching our pupils about business and enterprise.
