On Thursday 16th March at 7pm, Elaine Halligan of The Parent Practice will host an hour long ‘Girls and Friendships’ webinar. We would like to encourage all parents from Year 3 to Year 6 to attend. We are also inviting Year 7 and Year 8 parents.

Relationships are very important to girls. At different stages in their lives they will have different needs from their various relationships and will manage them differently, but to be successful in this key area of their lives, girls need some crucial social skills.

This webinar examines five different stages in a girl’s life and what she needs from relationships with parents and friends in each stage. It also examines practical strategies for parents in cultivating good friendship skills in your daughters, helping them make good friends and be good friends themselves.

The webinar will cover the following topics:

  • Understanding girls’ friendships and the different ages and stages of development that impact friendships
  • How your girls can foster good relationships
  • How to help children manage difficulties in friendships

It will be followed by a Q&A session.

Navigating friendships is a tricky business for young girls, therefore this session will be invaluable in understanding how we can help.

Elaine has a wonderful reputation; she is a warm and engaging speaker and has worked with many top London schools. The webinar format of her talk provides you with the flexibility to listen in the comfort of your own home and the feeling of anonymity lends itself well to a powerful Q&A session, which will benefit others and contribute to the sense of not being alone in needing advice.

Please see Elaine’s bio if you would like to find out more about her and her work ahead of this webinar.
