On Thursday 7th December, our FHS community gathered in St Columba’s Church on Pont Street for our annual Carol Service. Following a whole school service in the afternoon with an address from Junior School parent Revd Simpson, our FHS community gathered for a delightful evening service. Guests first enjoyed a festive drinks reception before ascending to the church, where they enjoyed delightful pre-service music from Paloma, Inga, Helena, Max Barley, Jane Lister and Miss Murata.

The service was led by Revd van der Hart with an impassioned address from guest speakers Revd Simpson and Revd Wynter. Featuring traditional Carols such as ‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing’ and ‘Once in Royal David’s City’, the Service featured readings from pupils from every year of the School and wonderful singing from Year 7 and our various choirs. Concluding the Autumn Term with our annual Carol Service is always a highlight of the festive season here at FHS, and thank you so much to all of the families who joined us last night. We were also delighted to raise £682 for our partner charity, In-Deep. Thank you so much to everybody who donated.

Merry Christmas everyone, and have a wonderful break!
