This morning, Amelia unveiled the mural she recreated with a local artist after winning a competition with Travis Perkins PLC.

The competition was to create a piece of art based on the Armed Forces, reflecting the sacrifice of the UK’s servicemen and women. The winning entry was chosen by the Rt Hon Mark Field, MP for Cities of London and Westminster. He mentioned how hugely impressed he was with the high levels of talent and understanding that went into all the pieces of art by the local school children.

Amelia worked with a local artist to reproduce her painting in a 6ft by 4ft mural on the inside facade on the UK’s only surviving historic timber yard on the Pimlico Road in London. The mural will be mounted on to the wall and exhibited until the end of July and then returned to Francis Holland School.

We are all very proud of Amelia for her hard work – well done!
