We are very proud to announce the publication of the Academic Ambassadors’ journal Catalyst. This year’s edition of Catalyst is entitled ‘The New Normal: Equality in a Post Pandemic World’ and seeks to address structural inequalities exacerbated by the pandemic through the medium of open and constructive dialogue. We developed the theme for this year’s Catalyst in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, George Floyd’s murder and the subsequent BLM protests and the murder of Sarah Everard.
It is the culmination of 12 months hard work and features work from across the entire school, including the students and teachers. The aim of Catalyst is to address the issue of inequality in a nuanced manner, showcasing the academic ability and social awareness that FHS cultivates. It is intellectually challenging, and the work showcased evidences independent thought rather than the recycling of other’s ideas.
We hope you enjoy engaging with Catalyst as much as we have done producing it!
