Last week, we had the opportunity to hear from an array of distinguished theologians, including the well renowned Daphne Hampson whose studies appear throughout our A Level course. It was really intellectually stimulating to engage ourselves in the philosophies of individuals who are so esteemed within their field. We particularly enjoyed learning from Julie Arliss, who delved into the morality surrounding euthanasia, a subject heavily discussed in modern politics today. A group highlight was the debate at the end of the conference, where students were able to express their view on whether sex should require more than consent. We feel so lucky to have been able to attend this event and look forward to applying our newly gained knowledge to our in-class studies.
