This year, the Art Department are exhibiting the work of A level Fine Art and A level Graphic Communication, this is a first. Although Fine Art is very much embedded into the school at GCSE and A Level; the Graphic Communication course offers another creative route.

The show offers a range of imaginative responses from the students, from large sculptures made out of broken crockery to posters advertising the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, from wonderful quilt tapestries to stunning figurative drawings and paintings.

It is always a pleasure to see girls that I have taught, sometimes from Year 7, grow into the confident and talented young artists and designers that they are now. I firmly believe that they will have those skills for life, whatever career they choose to follow.

Congratulations to Year 13 artists and designers, you should be proud.
