Prudence Scrivener, a much loved former member of staff, has sadly passed away aged 91.

She was Deputy Head of the Senior School at Francis Holland and taught English for 33 years (1950 to 1983). Prudence only ever worked at FHS, so the school was truly her life. We are deeply saddened at the news but heartened that a memorial service will be held in St MaryÂ’s, Bourne Street, on Saturday 8th October at 11:30 am. All Francis Holland alumnae and staff are invited and there will be refreshments afterwards in Carmel Hall which is part of Francis Holland School (accessed via Bourne Street, SW1W 8JA, not via the main entrance to the school at 39 Graham Terrace).

Please could you email the school’s Alumni Relations Officer, Alistair Brown on alumni@fhs-sw1.org.uk if you are able to attend by Friday 30th September 2016 at the latest.
