This week, girls have been taking the opportunity to reflect on the horrors of the Holocaust in an assembly given by Miss Boon. The focus of our reflection this year was on the experience of children particularly, and Miss Boon shared some fascinating individual stories of children who may otherwise have faded into history had some small evidence of their existence not been left behind. It was particularly moving hearing these individual stories as it really helped us put into perspective the scale of the atrocities, something that is often lost in statistics or figures. Many thanks to Miss Boon and the History Department for such a thought provoking assembly.
