We are proud to celebrate another year of outstanding GCSE results at Francis Holland. The Class of 2025 achieved exceptional outcomes, with 44% of all grades at the top grade 9 and 70% at grades 9–8. In total, 86% of grades were awarded 9–7. These results are a testament not only to the academic strength of this cohort but also to their commitment, perseverance, and the guidance of their teachers.
Behind these headline statistics lie countless individual stories of success. Five students achieved a full set of grade 9s, while a further 24 secured all of their results at grades 8 or 9; an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects the ambition and resilience of the group. Just as inspiring are those who, through sustained effort and determination, excelled in subjects they once found most challenging. Each grade represents far more than a final outcome: it is the culmination of years of asking questions, a growth mindset to feedback and hard work.
This year group has distinguished itself through its determination, character and strong sense of community, nurtured by the expertise and encouragement of our staff. As they move into the Old School House they will embark on a Sixth Form curriculum that offers both breadth and freedom, encouraging them to pursue areas of genuine interest and to approach learning with creativity and curiosity. The strong foundations laid during years 7 to 11 will serve them well as they take on the opportunities and challenges of Sixth Form life.
Congratulations to the GCSE Class of 2025!
