The annual Children’s Mental Health Week theme this year was Let’s Connect, all about making meaningful connections for all. People thrive in communities.

When we have healthy connections – to family, friends and others – this can support our mental health and our sense of wellbeing. And when our need for rewarding social connections is not met, we can sometimes feel isolated and lonely – which can have a negative impact on our mental health.

This week, we have encouraged our girls to connect with others in healthy, rewarding and meaningful ways. Every girl in the school has contributed to a piece of our whole school paper chain, decorated with symbols, words and drawings of things that help them feel connected to the people and things they care about. This whole school paper chain will represent our school community and the connections that we have with each other.
