LEGACIES
A legacy gift is a special and permanent way to support the future of Francis Holland Sloane Square. A gift in your Will can support the school in a way most meaningful to you.
THE CANON FRANCIS HOLLAND LEGACY SOCIETY
Francis Holland Sloane Square has a proud history of education girls and a strong tradition of philanthropy.
For nearly 150 years, generations of families have helped preserve the spirit of FHS. We are committed to continuing this legacy for the next 150 years, ensuring that the girls of today and tomorrow enjoy the same exceptional education and experiences that have long defined Francis Holland Sloane Square.
Our school’s legacy society is named after its founder, Reverend Canon Francis Holland, who was chaplain to Queen Victoria and King Edward VII and a visionary in philanthropy and education.
The Society recognises those who have chosen to remember FHS in their Will. Members are invited to an annual lunch hosted by the Head, select school functions, and may be acknowledged on a plaque in the school. There is no minimum gift amount, and membership is lifelong.

Specific legacy – You can leave a specific item or asset to FHS SSQ, such as artwork, stocks and shares, or jewellery. These possessions will be excluded from the valuation of your estate and will not be liable for Inheritance Tax.
Reversionary legacy – This would be a gift that is first given to a loved one for their lifetime. It involves leaving your assets to trustees so that the beneficiaries can enjoy the income during their lifetime, with the whole or a portion reverting to FHS SSQ after their lifetime.
