On Tuesday 4th June, our Year 8 students enjoyed a trip to Penshurst Place in Kent in order to bring to life our study of the Tudors and Stuarts.
The guided tour of the Sidney family home, courtiers in the reigns of Edward VI and Elizabeth I, took us through medieval, Tudor & Stuart history. Fortunately, the rain stopped long enough to allow us to do some sketching in the magnificent gardens in the afternoon.
