On Monday 22nd June, Year 7 went on a school trip to a Hindu temple to learn about their cultures and observe their lifestyle. Despite the not so good weather, the bus trip was fun, and when we arrived, there was a welcoming greeting from the members who later on showed us around their humble temple and home.
We observed their eco-friendly garden, the lovely building, and the Hindu sculptures. At one point we also got on a cart and oxen. I fed the female cows. Indians treat cows with great respect because they produce so much valuable products. Later for lunch, we had curry and dressed in saris, face-painted, and ate like Hindu people. It was a very fun day.
