Upper Sixth Escape Project 2020

The first few weeks following the cancellation of A level exams left the Upper Sixth shocked and upset – some even devastated. Though that disappointment did not take long to wear off, the girls were keen to regain some sense of productivity in their daily routines and perhaps distract themselves from the global human tragedy that dominated every conversation and TV screen. Hence came the ‘Escape Project’. All fifty girls sought to learn a new skill or rekindle an old passion. Canvases were painted, banana bread was baked and childhood piano pieces were revamped. The end result is a testament not only to the diversity of talent in the Upper Sixth, but also to the strength of resolve to overcome the latent struggles of quarantine.
