This Wednesday, March 15th, sees the first National Dads4Daughters Day, when fathers across the country are being asked to take the test and pledge their commitment to greater equality in the workplace for current and future generations of daughters.

UBS, Aviva, Ernst & Young, Spencer Stuart and Accenture are among the City firms which are calling on fathers to back the campaign, which the Girls’ Schools Association (GSA) is promoting with the support of 50 schools up and down the country, including Francis Holland School, Sloane Square.

To mark the day, the supporting businesses, as well as the City of London Corporation, which represents the Square Mile, are hosting discussions and debates with their staff about how they can tackle gender bias in the workplace, as well as encouraging fathers to take the unconscious bias test.

At Francis Holland School, Sloane Square we will be hosting an Evening Event in which our Year 13 Further Maths students will present an interesting data analysis fueled by our Unique Parental Survey followed by a talk from PWC’s Head of Corporate Purpose, Gaenor Bagley, which will provide some practical steps on how we can all contribute to reducing gender inequality in the workplace.

The event will take place from 6.45pm until 8.00pm at the school. Tickets are £5 for parents and free for students, and can be bought here: www.fhsd4d.eventbrite.com
