The U13 squad had the incredible opportunity to compete in the Annual MCC Tournament at the prestigious Lord’s Ground, an experience that will no doubt be remembered for years to come. This year’s tournament featured an exciting new format, incorporating the traditional batting rules while allowing for thrilling performances across all teams.
FHS made an impressive start, clinching a nail-biting victory in their opening game by just 1 run. Riding on that momentum, they delivered another strong performance in their second match, securing back-to-back wins. However, St Paul’s proved to be formidable opponents, with their tight fielding restricting FHS from matching their total.
Heading into the final fixture against Radnor, FHS fought valiantly in a closely contested match but fell short by a single run. Despite this, the day was a fantastic showcase of talent, determination, and high-level cricketing skills.
A huge well done to all players for their hard work and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
